There has been great improvement within the club and as part of the club development plan, we received community chest funding to develop standards.

One element of this was to purchase 'intermediate 2' and 'advanced' waves from our great friends at Surf Snowdonia, which amazingly after just one season, some of our stronger surfers are now ready to surf.

Our coaches have selected our strongest surfers to join us this Saturday between 11am and 1pm to surf the 'intermediate 2' wave. Some of this group will surf the 'advanced' wave next week.

Our coaches have been strict in applying the selection criteria of 'an ultra clean and quick pop up with the ability to turn on the wave' as the 'intermediate 2' and 'advanced' waves are powerful and difficult to catch.

Surfers who are not at the required level will simply not be able to catch the wave and could get hurt so we have a duty of care to only invite people who we believe can safely surf the waves.

If any of our members would like to come along to Surf Snowdonia and give our surfers some moral support that would be fantastic.

As our surfers progress, next year we will be able to offer this opportunity to more of our members.
